Cornelia Li's illustrations have always been geared towards narratives and storytelling, which why her collaborations with NPR seem like a natural match. Over the course of 2017 she's contributed multiple pieces to NPR's various podcasts, which spotlight topics ranging from miscommunication, the racial politics of Miss Saigon, the suffering of people born with no sense of smell and how Houston's public schools managed the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey
