Aga Wieckowska is a self-taught illustrator from Wrocław, Poland. Her route to illustration was circuitous. As a child she drew the plants and animals around her, taking creative cues from the pages of richly illustrated nature guides. Later, she earned a degree in biology. But post-graduation Aga felt tugged toward a creative life, eventually landing a job at an agency, where working on branding projects inspired a love for simplified forms. With 15 years of creative experience, she has melded all of her interests into her illustration practice. She often uses geometry and rich textures to not only bring nature to life but also create subtle metaphors and emotions among her characters. View Full Bio
