Oscar is a Mexican illustrator based in Los Angeles. He has been drawing since he was a child, and some of his fondest memories are of spending time in the library drawing comic books. Although mainly self taught, Oscar received some formal art training in college. His main influences include the Bauhaus School, Russian Constructivism, and DADA movements. These influences help inform his work consisting of digital collages and hand-drawn graphic elements with primary color palettes. His choice to hand draw his work comes from his childhood when he loved drawing on paper, magazines, and other surfaces which weren’t meant for drawing, such as desks or his homework. The natural nuances and human error that result from hand-drawing are something that Oscar finds fascinating. When he is not making art, he works as an art teacher, listens to music, and watches/plays football (soccer). View Full Bio
