Rafael is a self-taught illustrator based in Argentina. His passion for drawing developed in his childhood, when he would spend a lot of time at his grandmother’s house. She had a huge library of books, many of them were very old, with colorful illustrations. There he fell in love with illustration, and the texture and smell of the paper in these old books. Rafael’s artwork is inspired by simple life situations and what is going on around the world. He tries to show these events from different angels, often with a twist of irony or mockery.
