Angie Mathot was born in Belgium, where she spent most of her childhood. Her passion for drawing was present at an early age. At two years old, she would customize her home furniture with felt pens, much to the dismay of her mother. Angie cultivated this passion for doodling through various school classes and personal hobbies until she went on to study graphic design at the St. Luc School of Fine Arts in Liège. Visual design has had a major impact on her craft. Design principles have helped simplify and elevate her work, while vectors have become her main means of creating. Artists like Klimt, Malika Favre, Mark Ryden, and others have been a key inspiration in Angie realizing that illustration was her real calling. During the 2020 lockdowns, she re-oriented herself to pursue her dream. This is when she started creating NFT art and really developed her personal style, based on creating strong visual stories with a minimalist colour palette and high contrasts. Today Angie lives in the Netherlands, where she enjoys nature and the countryside of her small town. When she isn’t creating she enjoys meditating, reading, and traveling. View Full Bio
