We are so excited to present our new Artistique artist, Natsko Seki!
Born in 1976, Natsko grew up in Tokyo and studied educational psychology at Keio University before moving to England. She graduated with a B.A. Illustration from University of Brighton in 2005 and made her way to London where she now works on an increasing number of worldwide commissions.
Her illustrated book, Last Paper Crane, received the UK Literacy Association Book Award in 2021. Broadway Market, another book she illustrated, was shortlisted at the World illustration Awards 2021. Her works have been published by Louis Vuitton and Phaidon Press. She is also an author of two children’s books. Her illustrations are permanently displayed at the City of Bath World Heritage Centre, Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, and Whittington Health NHS Trust in London. Her limited edition prints have been sold in the shops at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London Transport Museum, Tate Gallery, and Dulwich Picture Gallery.
She finds inspirations in flora and fauna, buildings and people from different cultures. Some of Natsko’s landscapes consist of hundreds of layers in Photoshop, others more than a thousand, digitally collaged with her photographs, drawings, and found textures. She loves the tension different collage materials bring to her artwork.
Her clients include: Hermès, Scandinavian Airlines, Tottenham Hotspur F.C., Wallpaper*, Financial Times, House of Illustration, Toyota, Barneys Newyork Japan, Historic Royal Palaces, Royal Collection Trust, The Guardian, and more.
