Navigate the NFT world
You don’t need to ask the creatives we represent, or our clients for that matter - what a digital asset is. We’ve all been creating digital work and licensing the rights since we could copy them onto a floppy disc.An NFT is the same digital asset, but it can’t be copied, we mint it (i.e., assign it to the blockchain), and it becomes an NFT*. The same as the above, but now it’s a unique asset no one can copy.NFTs could be decorative art to show on your HD TV screen, an asset to add to your Crypto wallet as an investment, or used in your online domain or MetaVerse. They keep evolving to be so much more!Brands recognise they can produce their own NFTs, layering them with incentives and giveaways — from Carbon Credits to Meta Sneaker drops. Digital collectables that you can potentially use to unlock “money can’t buy” experiences, and other digital rewards and incentives. They don’t have to be purchased with cryptocurrencies or be used online. These are real-world assets as well.We are at the dawn of an exciting era, like when the computers with those first floppy discs were used for data logging and sharing information. Here at IQ we can help you navigate the vast world of NFTs.*For clarity’s sake, NFT stands for “non-fungible token.” The word “Fungible” means replaceable, so it is basically non-replaceable. (the person who came up with this term needs a kick for trying to be too clever). An NFT is a special digital asset that can’t be copied, meaning any NFT you own — or create — will always be unique.
